What would our lives be like if we were aware of God’s loving presence in every moment of the day? We will learn this practice from two masters; Brother Lawrence and Frank Laubach.  Brother Lawrence was a lay brother in a Carmelite monastery in the 1600s and Frank Laubach was a missionary in the Philippines in the early 1900’s. Both experienced a deep abiding presence of God as they made it a practice to be in God’s presence.

This retreat will focus on the lives of these two men and we will unpack some of the details of their lives, how they began to undergo this practice and the long lasting impact it had not only on them personally but to those around them. These are two incredible stories of how God can do a mighty work in His children who have a sincere desire to “love the Lord with all of there heart, with all of their mind, with all of their soul, and with all of the strength.”

We will allow plenty of time for solitude and silence to put into practice some of the teachings that we discuss in this retreat.
